PetLoversCA – Service Policies

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

PetLoversCA is a registered Canadian business providing in-home cat grooming services across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). We do not sell physical products; all offerings are service-based.

 

2. APPOINTMENTS & BOOKINGS

• All services are provided by appointment only.

• Clients must provide accurate address and contact details.

• Appointment confirmations are sent through phone, SMS, or WhatsApp.

• We reserve the right to decline or reschedule appointments if safety concerns exist.

 

3. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

• Cancellations made within 24 hours of an appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee.

• No-shows may require prepayment for future bookings.

• Rescheduling is allowed with at least 24 hours’ notice.

 

4. SERVICE CONDITIONS

• Cats must be accessible, safe to handle, and not excessively aggressive.

• If a cat becomes unsafe to groom at any point, the groomer may stop the session for the safety of the animal and groomer.

• Partial service fees may apply if grooming is stopped due to behavior or health issues.

 

5. HEALTH & SAFETY

• PetLoversCA is insured for in-home grooming services.

• Cats should not have contagious illnesses, open wounds, or parasites.

• If a cat shows signs of illness or extreme stress, the groomer may refuse or stop the service.

• Senior, anxious, or special-needs cats are groomed with extra care, but results may vary based on temperament.

 

6. LIABILITY

• PetLoversCA is not responsible for pre-existing conditions such as matting, skin irritation, or hidden injuries.

• Grooming may reveal underlying issues such as hot spots, fleas, or skin sensitivities.

• Owners are responsible for notifying the groomer of any known behavioral or medical conditions.

• While we take every precaution, minimal risks (scratches, minor irritation) may occur.

 

7. MATTED CAT POLICY

• Severe matting may require shaving for the cat’s safety.

• Dematting may cause skin redness or irritation due to tight fur pulling.

• Extra fees may apply depending on the severity.

 

8. PAYMENT POLICY

• Payment is due at the end of the service.

• Accepted payment methods: cash, e-transfer, or card (if available).

• Travel fees may apply for locations outside standard service zones.

 

9. PRIVACY POLICY (SERVICE-BASED)

• Personal information (name, address, phone number) is used only for booking and communication.

• PetLoversCA does not sell or share client information.

• Photos of cats may be used for social media ONLY with client consent.

 

10. REFUND POLICY

As a service-based business, completed grooming services are non-refundable.

Refunds are only considered if:

• A service was not provided as agreed due to our fault.

• A cancellation was made by PetLoversCA.

 

11. EMERGENCY PROTOCOLS

• In case of sudden illness or stress in the cat during grooming, the service will be stopped.

• Owners will be informed immediately of any concerns observed.
